PRT Service GmbH – hereinafter called PRT – was established inNovember 1981 through the buy-out of the information system branch which was part of the textile machine manufacturer Schlafhorst, Mönchengladbach.

The business started with the installation, support and maintenance of information systems. These systems included HP 1000 computers of the series M, E and F including the HP peripheral equipment and textile-specific hardware.

In the mid eightiesPRT expanded their business beyond the textile industry taking on the support of computer systems specific to the medical field, having started in Germany and neighbouring countries and having now expanded to cover all of Europe. Upon recommendation, PRT through its good image, has been able to attain maintenance contracts with large reputable companies within other branches.

As PRT are able to adapt their support to the growing demands of permanent HP product care and HP product innovations without any problems PRT was able to extend their maintenance and support to also cover the HP 1000 A series, HP3000 and HP9000 computer systems.

PRT not only offers support for HP equipment but also for the peripheral equipment of many other reputable manufacturers.

Since 1991PRT has taken over the after sale support, modification and installation tasks of projects involving the microchip production for Toshiba and other Japanese companies. Qualified staff, trained in Japan, a long-standing well-attuned infrastructure as well as comprehensive logistics guarantee prompt on site response times on our maintenance contracts – typically 4 hours – as well as on our highly efficient on-call service.

Over twenty years agoPRT expanded their support programme to cover Agilent Incircuit Test Systems, at first for the 3065 series followed by the 3070 series. PRT is constantly expanding in this field and their support programme now also covers test systems manufactured by Teradyne and GenRad.

PRT has a highly reputable customer base.
